4.2.17

In celebration of National Poetry Month, I am inviting several poet friends to join me in my daily endeavor of paying poetic attention to the world. This week I am sharing the practice with dear friend Kathy Couch. Some of you might remember our year long collaboration How We Share the Sky. (on Instagram as #howwesharethesky)
Follow her on Instagram (@kccouch) for inspiration, light, delight and reminders to #resist and #imagine.

and earth, in situ,
inside of what we call
‘all these moments to live’
may you forgive yourself
every heady forgetting
that you came here
to rise up.

Circle here
sweet ones,
singed and speechless
satisfied no more
to smolder

you will be seen
so, safe
so, surrounded
by souls
so certain of your goodness
they sing
circular
each breath connected
to the next
neverending
this song
you’ve shown us
sung solely
so to be set free
